The Bass Raft Fishing Experience

I’ve been in the kayak fishing world both as an entrepreneur and as a tournament competitor for the last 3 years. That’s not very long. But it doesn’t take much time to realize that the fishing experience of a kayak is really not good. Kayaks were designed to be a sit-down paddling experience. But what do most kayak tournament anglers want to do? They want to stand to fish and use electric motors to get around! Kayak manufacturers are building bigger, heavier, and wider kayaks to compensate. Bass Raft takes a different approach.

2025 Tournament Season Kickoff

Bass Raft is hitting the road again this summer for the 2025 tournament season! The first stop is the Great Midwestivus in Springfield Ohio. This is the 4th tournament of the Kayak Adventure Series (KAS), but the first of the year for me.
The Kayak Adventure Series puts on a great event - and I say event because it is much more than a fishing tournament. There is a Bass University seminar on Friday morning with an afternoon “sesh” where the tournament kicks off. I’ll have my Bass Raft around to check out in person and you can even try it out!

Bass Raft Tournament Edition

Last year I took Bass Raft on the road in my rookie season fishing some national kayak events. It was a blast. I learned a lot, met a ton of great people and introduced Bass Raft to the tournament fishing scene. This year, I’m hoping to see Bass Raft in more tournaments like this, but not have me be the only one fishing! I’m excited to announce the 2025 Tournament Edition Bass Raft!

Kayak Adventure Series approved!

Bass Raft is now officially approved to fish in its second national tournament series, the Kayak Adventure Series. The KAS is a new tournament series for 2024 started by avid tournament angler Drew Gregory and looks to be a really different type of event. And I say event instead of tournament because there is much more than just a fishing tournament going on.

Bass Raft approved for the All American Kayak Series

I’m really excited to announce that Bass Raft is now an approved vessel that can fish in the All American Kayak Series! This tournament trail focuses on the Midwest, which is perfect for me as a Wisconsin kid.
